These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Flowcus macOS application ("Flowcus" or the "App") and the getflowcus.app website. By downloading, installing or using Flowcus you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

About Flowcus

Flowcus is developed and provided by Rhyd Lewis ("we", "us"). Flowcus is a personal Kanban board and planning tool that works with tasks you already keep in OmniFocus, Things, Todoist or TaskPaper, and can optionally show events from your macOS and Google calendars.

Flowcus is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any task management or calendar software company. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Flowcus on Macs that you own or control, for your own use, in accordance with these Terms. Flowcus is licensed, not sold, and we retain all rights, title and interest in the App.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except where applicable law expressly permits it
  • Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, redistribute or otherwise make the App available to third parties
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices
  • Use the App in any way that is unlawful or that infringes the rights of others

Price and Donations

Flowcus is free to download and use. There is no purchase, subscription or in-app payment, and no feature is withheld pending payment.

If you would like to support development you may make a voluntary donation through Buy Me a Coffee. Donations are gifts: they are processed by Buy Me a Coffee under its own terms and privacy policy, are non-refundable, and do not purchase a licence, support entitlement, feature, or any other obligation on our part. Flowcus works identically whether or not you donate.

Your Data

Flowcus operates on your own task and calendar data, which stays on your device. Flowcus has no servers and does not collect, store or process your task or calendar data outside your Mac. How the App handles data — including the optional Sidekick AI assistant, calendar integration, crash reporting and anonymous analytics — is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

You are responsible for backing up your data. Flowcus reads from and writes to your task manager using that app's supported automation features; you remain responsible for the content of your tasks and for keeping appropriate backups of your task manager's data.

Third-Party Services

Flowcus integrates with software and services provided by others, including OmniFocus, Things, Todoist, TaskPaper, Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and any LLM provider you configure for Sidekick. Your use of those products is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their availability, behaviour or any changes they make that affect Flowcus.

If you connect Google Calendar, Flowcus's use of Google user data is limited to displaying your calendar events in the App, as described in the Privacy Policy, and adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect your Google account at any time in Settings › Calendar.

Sidekick sends only the task content you choose to an LLM provider that you select and configure. Any charges, usage limits or content policies of that provider are between you and the provider.

Updates

Flowcus may check for and, with your permission, download and install updates. Updates may add, change or remove features. These Terms apply to all updates unless an update is accompanied by separate terms.

Feedback

If you send us suggestions, bug reports or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use it to improve Flowcus without any obligation to you.

Disclaimer of Warranty

Flowcus is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every version of the third-party software it integrates with. Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, Flowcus — including any loss or corruption of task or calendar data held in third-party applications. Because Flowcus is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the App will not exceed £10 (ten pounds sterling). Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You may stop using Flowcus at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate or suspend your licence if you breach these Terms. On termination your right to use the App ends and you must uninstall it; the sections on Your Data, Disclaimer of Warranty, Limitation of Liability and Governing Law survive termination.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date below. Your continued use of Flowcus after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you live.
