2.3.24 - Times, Selections and Honest Ages

2026-10-15

Due and defer dates in the Inspector now carry a time as well as a date, so a task due at 4pm says so. On the board, holding ⇧ with the arrow keys extends your selection, stopping neatly at the edge of the column or swimlane. Also includes a fix for dates landing a day early during British Summer Time.

2.3.22 - Board and Chart Fixes

Three fixes based on user feedback. Tasks with subtasks no longer drop from the board when "Hide blocked tasks" is off, the column menu opens on top of the board rather than behind it and the Work Item Age chart now bands tasks to match the age colour on their cards.

2.3.20 - Lenses, Perspectives and Views

A Lens can now be built from one of your OmniFocus perspectives, so the board shows only the tasks that perspective contains — and Lenses are better behaved throughout, with the project sidebar listing only the projects a Lens actually covers and excluded folders respected everywhere. Settings › Views lets you choose which view Flowcus opens on and switch off any you don't use. Repeating tasks read correctly too: they show their real schedule rather than always claiming to be daily, and no longer carry a misleading age or aging warning. Also includes more reliable app detection, so flagging and Quick Capture keep working when OmniFocus is closed or has been renamed.

New A Lens can now be based on one of your OmniFocus perspectives, so the board shows only the tasks that perspective contains.
New Setting up a perspective Lens takes one click — "Add shortcut" installs the Shortcut that Flowcus uses to read your perspective data.
New With a Lens active, the Filter by Project sidebar now lists only projects that have tasks in that Lens — and any project filter the Lens hides is cleared automatically.
New Choose which view Flowcus opens on, and turn individual views on or off, in Settings › Views.
Improved Folders excluded under Settings › Sources › Filter folders are now respected everywhere. Their projects and subfolders no longer appear in the Lens editor, the project sidebar or other project pickers.
Fixed Flowcus now finds OmniFocus and Things by their unique app identifier, rather than assuming the installed apps are called "OmniFocus" and "Things3".
Fixed Quick Capture (⌘N) now picks up task sources you enable or disable in Settings straight away, without restarting the app.
Fixed Repeating tasks now show their actual schedule — weekly, monthly, yearly and so on — instead of always showing "Daily".
Fixed A repeating task whose schedule can't be read is now labelled "Custom schedule" rather than "Repeats: Repeats".
Fixed Repeating tasks no longer show a misleading age or aging warning.
Fixed The column colour picker no longer gets cut off or hidden behind the board's column headers.
Fixed Clicking the streak badge again now closes its popover.

2.3.15 - Keyboard Control, Smarter Swimlanes

You can now drive the whole board from the keyboard: arrow keys move between tasks across columns and swimlanes, ⌘↑ and ⌘↓ jump to the top or bottom of a column, Return renames the selected card and ⌘A selects every visible task. Swimlanes can take whole OmniFocus folders too — assign one from the swimlane's configure menu and its tasks move across straight away, with a searchable folder list in Settings › Swimlanes to help you find it. Fit Columns to Window (⌘9) resizes every expanded column to fill the board in one step, and ⌘⌥Return drops whatever you've selected. Also includes Mistral as an EU-hosted AI provider for Sidekick, readable AI error messages and a sharper board search that no longer turns up loose near-matches.

2.3.9 - Snooze Projects, Sharper Statuses

2026-09-13

Snooze projects to remove them from the Stuck projects review tool. Project statuses updated based on user feedback: Scheduled, Deferred and repeating projects are more easily identifiable. Zombie projects are now called Dormant and measure the time since you last added or completed an action. Settings > Projects now lets you set your own day counts for Recent and Dormant badges.

New Snooze a project for a week, a month or three months to keep it out of the Stuck list until you're ready to look at it again.
New A project waiting only on a future start date now shows as Scheduled — along with the date it returns — and no longer counts as stuck.
New Deferred is now a status in its own right rather than being lumped in with On hold, and repeating projects are marked with ↻ between cycles.
New Choose your own day counts for the Recent and Dormant badges in Settings › Projects.
Improved Zombie projects are now called Dormant, and the badge measures how long it's been since you last added or completed an action in the project.
Improved A project with a single next action is no longer flagged as Underdefined.

2.3.3 - Column Deletion, Fixed

A quick follow-up to 2.3.2: a column that looks empty can now be deleted. And when a column genuinely can't be removed, Flowcus explains why rather than appearing to ignore the request.

2.3.2 - See your Schedule and Resolve Stuck Projects

Blueprint can now show your Mac calendars alongside your plan, so you can see today's meetings while you block out the day. Resolve your Stuck projects one at a time by adding next actions, set the status and check recent activity until each one is ready unstuck. Flowcus also speaks Spanish, Italian and Simplified Chinese as well as English and Sidekick will reply in it.

New Connect your Mac & Google calendars in Settings › Calendar to see today's events alongside your plan in Blueprint, so you can schedule around your meetings. Calendars are colour-coded, refresh on their own and can be shown or hidden individually from the toolbar.
New Schedule a task straight from the board and Flowcus drops it into the next open 30-minute slot in Blueprint.
New Work through your Stuck projects one at a time with a new walkthrough. Add a next action, change the status or check recent activity to see whether a project is stalled or blocked.
New Flowcus now speaks Spanish, Italian and Simplified Chinese as well as English. Choose your language in Settings › General or follow your Mac's own setting — Sidekick will reply in whichever you pick.
New Spotted an odd translation? The new Translation tab in the feedback sheet lets you flag it and suggest better wording.
Improved A Getting Started checklist in the Help menu walks you through your first steps in Flowcus, with links straight to the features it mentions.
Improved "Discover Features…" in the Help menu brings back any tips you've dismissed and adds a browsable catalogue of everything Flowcus can do.

2.2.38 - Split Your Day, Follow Your Links

Blueprint can now spread one task across several time blocks, showing scheduled-vs-estimated progress (e.g. 30/90m) so big tasks can be split over the day — and planned dates in OmniFocus turn into blocks automatically, staying in sync in both directions. Links in task notes are clickable too, including app links like obsidian://, with a chip on the card to open them in one click. Projects Health gains a project inspector and an "Open in Board" shortcut, and the Task Inspector is now a double-click away. Flowcus also starts sending anonymous usage data to help shape what's next — opt out any time in Settings.

Note To help shape what gets built next, Flowcus now sends a small amount of anonymous usage data about which parts of the app get used — never your projects, tasks or personal data. Opt out at any time in Settings.

2.2.29 - Filtering, Overhauled

Filter your board by project with a new folder-grouped picker in the sidebar (toggle with ⇧⌘J), and take your filters further: everything you set on the board now narrows the Aging view too. Option-click any due, tag or project row to select all the others in one gesture, and drag the divider between the tag and project lists to share the space how you like.

2.2.24 - Smarter Filters, Now in Blueprint

Combine your filters your way with a new "Match" toggle in the toolbar — switch to "Any" to see everything that's due, flagged or planned, rather than only the tasks matching all three. Your board's filters now follow you into Blueprint too, so flag, due, planned and tag selections narrow the Blueprint task list just as they narrow the board.
